The focus of Chair based exercise is on keeping healthy as we get older or after illness or injury. Chair exercise has been developed by fitness and health professionals to offer exercise to individuals with many conditions such as osteoporosis, heart and circulation problems, Parkinsons, and stroke recovery this gentle seated class contains a range of tasks that have been designed to:
Improve performance of daily functional actions,
Strengthen important muscle groups,
Promote circulation,
Increase a range of co ordination and movement
Improve confidence.
Chair exercise is supported by Age UK's Fit as a Fiddle campaign and also the governments falls prevention scheme, come down and take part in a session or simply just watch, chat and see how this can help you improve and maintain independance.
